Playing With The Band

Playing with the band is something many youngsters from the Selby area enjoy doing.

Here are some FAQ's we get from new starters...

How much does it cost?

Playing with the band is FREE

What grade do I have to have?

None - the players in the band currently range from beginners to grade 8 - we cater for everybody!!

What if I can't make a rehearsal or concert?

Don't worry - just make sure you tell Mr Joy ASAP!

Do I have to have my own instrument?

Yes - unfortunately the band doesn't provide instruments

Will I play in public?

Yes, the band does 25-35 concerts every year!

Where/when are rehearsals?

Hilltop School, Barlby, Wednesdays during term time, 4pm
